Happy Friday! I literally had a shock yesterday when I finally realized Christmas is next month, my child turns 2, and I haven't even started planning his birthday.
So, let's just say my mind has officially switched over to birthday planning mode! While we haven't quite made friends in Wilmington, NC, yet and Ryan is just starting daycare, the guest list will be quite small, but that doesn't mean Ryan shouldn't have a party! We have family coming in to celebrate his birthday and Christmas (since they are just 2 short days apart). Operation "Ohhh-twooodles" has begun! (Can't you guess it will be a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday?!)
Let's look back at some favorites from the week, shall we?
Stop it, just stop it
So apparently the "man bun" is all the new craze for men with long hair. Even the Today Show talked about it this week. I'm sorry, it just is not cute. The fact that men can even buy a clip-in bun to make this happen??? Let Russell Schwartz walk in my house with a man bun. It only looks good on Jared Leto and Brad Pitt...and even then, it's questionable. Gentlemen, don't do it.#Chipotletantrum
Last night, my little toddler threw the biggest tantrum of his life. Want to know why? Becuase he could not cut in line at Chipotle. You know your child is addicted to Chipotle when they immediate walk in and think they are VIP's. Yes, we are known to eat there at least once or twice a week and now Ryan thinks that they should have our orders ready as soon as we walk in the door. When I corrected him and told him we had to get back in line, he immediately screamed, sat on the floor, and pouted.#MakeHomeYourVacation
I read the below post on Instagram this week and it was a definite "stop and think" moment.Books for days
I've already told you before about how much Ryan adores books. I wouldn't change that for the world. I don't mind the fact that we read 10-12 books a night before bedtime. Ryan's vocabulary and personality have grown tremendously. He is so smart and it's because of the books. My heart melts when he wakes up and goes straight to his chair for his morning readings. It's probably one of the only times he is quiet :)What's up for the weekend? My mom is heading into town for a visit to check out the new digs. Have I told you how glad I am we are now only four hours away from our family?!
XOXO,
Sherri
