Our dog is like a 2-year old.

Hi everyone!  Sorry I didn't get to post on time.  Our mom Schwartz came and visited us from Wed. through today so I was away from the computer enjoying some family time.

I just need to mention REALLL quick how BADLY I am ready for Spring.  Back last weekend we had an A-maziing family photo session of Russell, myself, and our handsome pup in downtown Collierville in 75-degree weather.  It was so comfortable you didn't want to be inside.

Fast forward 7 days later and this past weekend was a cold and rainy hot mess!  I felt bad for my MIL to fly in and have to experience that!  But it was still nice to sit back with family and have some nice meals and nice wine :)  I was a happy happy girl.  Especially since I had JUST come off of a 3-day juice cleanse. (we.will.not.discuss)

So, I also wanted to show the CUTEST sneak peek from our family photo session :)  Check the budster out...hahah, he was very interesting in his first photo shoot.  Lets just say he is not a pet, he is a toddler.  It started out exciting...with a very happy and overly excited dog.  By the end of the session I had a dog that was giving us attitude (if you have met him, you know all about the eye rolling) and was hiding behind us to get away from the camera.  Overall though...to have these pictures of just the 3 of us before baby Schwartz's grace us is such an awesome memory to have.... I will have more to post within the week so stay tuned :)

Enjoy!
XOXOX,
Sherri

"FO SHO"

Have you ever had that moment when you are driving down the road and you see something wayyy out of the ordinary and just start laughing?  Well, we have those moments A LOT in Memphis.  One of those moments being this past weekend.

So here is the story:  Russell and I were driving into the East Memphis area to run a few errands after our routine Saturday lunch dates at Chipotle J  At a stop light, a SUV was in front of us with one of those RIP stickers on the back of the car.  (I know what you’re thinking…wow Sherri, you’re really laughing over a RIP sticker…?)  Noooo, it was the content on the sticker that got us.  As soon as Russell and I read the sticker we immediately looked at each other, read each other’s minds and busted out laughing.  See, read for yourself:

So now do you see???  Really?  Tanky?  Is that really someone’s first name?  Or is that like their other nickname they have?  And “Fo Sho”?  I seriously have not heard that phrase in a loooooong time.  Only in Memphis…  So the phrase of the month is “Fo Sho” friends….and I urge you all to start using it J

In other news, we did survive the start of painting our never ending fence without killing each other…but we did leave the scene with paint all on ourselves and in my hair.  (No bueno).  Can I just say, someone really needs to talk to Russell about wearing his “good jeans and shirts” while painting.  Seriously, who wears your nice clothes while staining a fence…you are asking for being painted on… especially when you are running your mouth on how slow I am J

We are heading into a B-E-A-UTIFUL weekend in Memphis with 70 degree SUNSHINE AND HAPPINESS!!  Saturday we are getting some updated “family pics” taken in the park with Buddy and I can’t wait to see how they turn out.  Stay tuned for sneak peeks.  Mom Schwartz also comes in for a 5-day visit next Wed. through Mon. and we can’t wait to have her back!

Until next time my friends….”FO SHO”

Just call "Bitty"

Happy hump day friends!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and 1st half of the week :)

We had a wonderful visitor (Dad Schwartz) come visit this past weekend.  So glad to have some family out our way for a few days.  Although it was cold and snowy the boys managed to squeeze in a round of golf one day while I bundled up inside.

One another note, we had a visitor on Saturday morning show up at our door... His name was "Bitty"....no, seriously it was.  And Bitty wanted to mow our lawn (in 30 degree weather) and pull our weeds.  I have never known ANYONE to be as demanding as Bitty was and he had a great marketing strategy.  See his strategy was to just show up in your yard with gloves and start pulling weeds before you even open the door.  Ya know, "free for the 1st 5min. work."  As we assured Bitty we didn't need those services in this outside condition, we did accept his marketing flyer.  I am pretty sure only in Memphis will someone promote a start-up business and actually request people to contact him and refer to him as "Bitty."  (See above pic).  It was very random and I did consider maybe learning self defense for future weirdness encounters when Russ isn't around.

But nothing beats, a few weeks back, Russell telling a man he found on Craigslist (we were consulting handymen for some help) that he was going out of town for a week but his wife would be home.  True story, and I thought I was going to be murdered that week.  Definitely wished I had bought a machete to keep under my bed.

Memphis never ceases to amaze me and I am always insured that on the weekends, I will see something extraordinary.

To cap off the weekend we put some finishing touches to our living room with a new end table, coffee table, and matching lamps.  Yes folks, I get pretty darn excited about purchasing lamps now-a-days.  But, our little nest is almost complete.

Isn't it just so snug and cozy!

This weekend Russ and I have a HUGE task we will take on.  Now this task will require multiple weekends and lots of hair pulling and sure to bring on much happiness.  Russell and I take on the adventures of staining our 1/2 acre fence in our backyard....ohhh the joys of being domestic.

Stay tuned for next weeks post.  It will be about how we ended up not killing each other in the process!

Cheers :)
