Weekend Recap | I'll have more wine with that.

Monday, May 4, 2015

Happy Monday!  I am linking up with Katie for my weekend recap!

My mother-in-law, Ryan's Grandmom was in town visiting this weekend and we finally had a weekend with no rain at all so we were outside all weekend having some good 'ole family fun!  Ryan was living it up with the extra attention and I was basking in the fact that my MIL cooked a lot of our food so I got to relax a little with a glass of wine in hand.  It's the little things in life...

I am just going to throw it all at you today in picture form!

Friday: Grandmom came in Thursday afternoon so Ryan played hooky at daycare on Friday and spent the entire day being a terror and cute at the same time.  Grandmom also had dinner ready for Russell and I when we got home.  I can't tell you how wonderful it was to just come home and immediately get to relax (with wine) and not have to cook.  Score!

He is thinking of something really mischievous right here.

Getting in to trouble...and he knows it.
Life lessons from Grandmom.

Buddy was exhausted because Ryan wouldn't leave him alone....poor thing.

Friday Favorites: 5/1/15

Thanks to Katie and Heather for the link-up!

I cannot tell you how glad I am it is FRIDAY!  The last few days have draggged on and I am so tired.  Looking forward to recharging, the gorgeous weekend we are going to have, and all of the fun things going on this weekend!

Here are my #ffavorites (Friday Favorites) from this week.

1.  This little lunch combo.

This little sandwich has been sooo tasty this week.  It's a whole wheat sandwich-thin with nitrate-free turkey, spinach leaves, pepper jack cheese, onion, and 1/2 avocado.  It is pure flavor and I team it up with a Halo orange.  Speaking of Halo's, these little buddies have been my snack of choice for the last 2 weeks.  I am addicted.  I grab three or four to take to work and snack on during the day.

3.  This face.  Ryan is in such a fun little stage and enjoys being outside so much.  Every night, we have played outside and with the weather being gorgeous this weekend, that is definitely where you will find us!  It has been so great to come home from work and unwind outside.

3.  Wrapped up DailyBurn's BlackFire program.  Last night, I finished my 60-day BlackFire program that Bob Harper created with DailyBurn.  It was such a fun program and the workouts were awesome.  (Full final review on it coming next week.)  Now that it is over, I have a new game plan I am ready to start.  I will be incorporating HITT running, Pure Barre DVDs, and tabata style body weight workouts into my weekly workout plan for the next few months. I am looking forward to adding Pure Barre back into my rotation and some more quick running.  If you didn't catch my post on my favorite HIIT treadmill workouts, you can view it here.

4.  Grandmom is in town!  My mother-in-law (Ryan's Grandmom) is in town for a long weekend.  I am so excited!  I have a wonderful relationship with my MIL and it is so great to have her here for a visit.  She has not seen Ryan since December, so Ryan has grown so much.

And that about wraps it up.  This weekend, we will be heading to the park, the Memphis Zoo, the opening of the new and HUGE Bass Pro Shops, Collierville's Fair on the Square, church, and more.

Here's to a fantastic weekend ahead!

XOXO,
Sherri
