Friday Favorites: 5/8/15

Friday, May 8, 2015

Thanks to Katie and Heather for the link-up!

Another week down and exactly 13 more days separate my little family from the beach!  Can you tell how excited I am?  It will honestly be the first real vacation we have had since my honeymoon (which will be 3 years on 5/19)!  The last couple years, we have gone home to visit family but it doesn't feel like a getaway because we are running all over kingdom come visiting people.  It will be nice to check out and relax for a change.  Of course, we will only be about an hour away from family, so if they want to see us, they know where to find us :)

Here are my #ffavorites (Friday Favorites) from this week.

1.  This gem.  I stumbled across this image this week and seriously laughed my booty off.  I don't think there has been a weekend, at all, where I have gotten to sleep in (unlike Mr. Schwartz).

2.  Ryan's toddler umbrella.  During a lunch break this week, I went to Target (per the usual) and in the clearance section of the toddler department, I came across a dinosaur toddler umbrella...for $5.00.  It was like the Heaven's gates opened up and shined a light down on it. I had actually been thinking about getting him a cute little umbrella and at $5.00, there was no way I was leaving without it.  It quickly went into my cart and it has now quickly become Ryan's toy of choice.  He immediately points to it when he walks runs in the house, and says "umbuh" very loudly.

Being a daredevil.

3.  Carrots 'N' Cake's blog post.  I am a daily follower of Tina @ Carrots 'N' Cake and she wrote an article this week on daily life hacks.  My 2 favorites she posted:

1. Spraying a measuring cup with cooking spray for sticky ingredients.

2. Using coconut oil as an eye makeup remover.

4.  Mother's Day: What We Ask For vs. What We Are Telepathically Saying.  I was on a roll this week, finding some funny images.  And in light of the fact that Sunday is Mother's Day, this was a perfect addition to #ffavorites.

And to wrap this Friday's post up, I want to wish every mother a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.  I hope you all get to relax and enjoy it with your family.  Oh, and I hope you get some sort of relaxation out of it too :)

XOXO,
Sherri
