Its #thinkingoutloud Thursday!
Update on Hand, Foot and Mouth = We are officially in the clear. Thank you baby Jesus, because I was certainly looking like a leper for a while and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. What is so crazy is that Ryan's case was so, so mild and I was an extreme. Lets hope that doesn't happen again any time soon.
In other news, Ryan has surgery tomorrow and is getting ear tubes put in. It's about time this little boy gets some relief!
Yes, I still have a Christmas rug out. So sue me.
In just one month, Ryan has had three ear infections and has been on antibiotics for over 20 days... no wonder his little body easily picked up HFM. On top of that, the three infections he had this month has now put the total at 10 infections in one year. As a parent, I can't tell you how frustrating it was to practically have to beg a pediatrician to put tubes in your baby's ears. No parent wants their child to go through surgery, but come one, every parent wants their child to feel better.
So, tomorrow morning is the big day. Wish us luck!
It's about time we get some good news and results because this week has been really trying. Not only have we pushed through everything mentioned above, but I ran into the garage door because I temporarily lost my mind and thought the garage door was open when I went in reverse. Obviously it wasn't. Needless to say, my husband is livid with me and I'm grounded and my garage parking privileges have been revoked. No harm was done to the car, but some minor damage was done on the inside of the garage door.
To top that off, I got a call this week that my wonderful grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer... again. Here is a man who was diagnosed with lung cancer and fought it four years ago, then lost his wife to lung cancer two years ago, and now you are asking him to fight it again. I can only get on my knees and pray for peace and strength for him and my entire family.
He is such a gentle soul, so sweet and so kind. He is also the last of my living grandparents and it really saddens me.
While we are still in the early stages and don't know how aggressive it is and what the treatment options are, its hard for your mind not to go in that dark place. Please pray for my family during this time.
